LEXGOO intention is to enable our Clients to make better decisions.
LEXGOO vision - a modern, independent, sustainable and always growing legal and business consulting organization.
This LEXGOO Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct defines our code of ethics and professional conduct, which demonstrate the high moral principles of LEXGOO and define what behaviour is considered appropriate and correct in our professional activities.
This Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct applies without exception to all LEXGOO members - partners, employees, trainees, interns, regardless of whether they work under an employment or service contract, are interns or do internships at LEXGOO under and internship contract, and to all other persons operating under LEXGOO brand. We thus encourage and invite our existing and potential clients to follow the provisions of this Code.
We recognize that the success among professionals and their clients depend on mutual respect, trust, appreciation of our diversity and equal opportunities among all members of humanity, equal and inalienable human rights being the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world.
We believe that by acting ethically and committing to the Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct we will make the deliverables to our clients better and that it further serves our business and our professional practice.

The Code of Ethics
In all situations
We act with integrity, diligence, competence, and respect towards prospective and existing clients, colleagues, an employer and employees, competitors, stakeholders and broader society.
We behavior independent and professional judgement towards a challenge or problem at hand.
We proactively maintain and continuously improve personal and collective professional competence.
We do not participate in business or pro-bono dealings which cannot succeed without compromising the principles stated in this Code.
We demonstrate and encourage others to demonstrate the ethical behaviour set out in this Code.
Standards of the Conduct
1. Professionalism
1.1. Independence, Objective and Realistic Judgement
We use reasonable and realistic judgement to achieve and maintain independence and objectivity in our professional practice.
1.2. Integrity and Impeccable Conduct
We acknowledge that integrity is achieved and sustained by impeccable conduct in our professional practice.
1.3. Knowledge of and Compliance with Law
We are knowledgeable of and always comply with the relevant laws, rules and regulations of any government, regulatory organization, or professional association governing our professional practice in the country or countries we work in.
1.4. Misrepresentation
We do not knowingly make any misrepresentations relating to advice, actions or other professional activities.
1.5. Misconduct and Fraud
We only work with legitimate Clients, partners and stakeholders.
We do not engage in any dealings involving dishonesty, fraud, or deceit.
1.6. Bribery and Corruption
We reject any attempt to use our professional practice to launder money.
We have zero tolerance stance on bribery and corruption.
2. Duties to Clients
2.1. Preservation of Confidentiality
We respect and preserve the confidentiality of our prospective, current or past Clients' information, also information of our partners and stakeholders, unless information concerns illegal activities on the part of the Client, partner or stakeholder, disclosure of such information is required by law, or the Client, partner or stakeholder permits disclosure of the information.
We only discuss the confidential information with people who are entitled to it.
We are committed to complying with all relevant data privacy requirements of the jurisdictions in which we pursue our professional practice.
2.2. Competence and Responsibility
We consider our Client needs responsibly and we advise only where we are competent and skillful.
2.3. Loyalty, Prudence and Care
We carry out a duty of loyalty towards our Clients and act with reasonable care and prudence.
2.4. Suitability
We inquire prospective Client's needs, experience, objectives, risk appetite and constrains prior to providing any binding service.
We encourage our Clients to critically reflect on their expectation and the ethical implications of their projects.
2.5. Fair Dealing
We deal fairly and objectively with all Clients.
We make realistic contracts, we honour our contractual obligations and deliver results accordingly.
3. Recommendations and Actions
3.1. Communication to Clients and Prospective Clients
We disclose to Clients significant limitations and risks associated to the proposed course of action.
We use reasonable judgement in identifying which factors are important to our Clients.
We distinguish between the fact and opinion.
We develop and maintain the appropriate records to support our proposed course of action.
3.2. Diligence and Reasonable Basis
We are thorough and exercise diligence in our research and investigation processes that forms a reasonable basis for our recommendations and proposed course of action.
We provide truthful and accurate reports, and we make reasonable forecasts.
4. Employer-Employee Relations
4.1. Loyalty
Our employees, interns and trainees in matters related to their employment, internships or professional training, have a duty to act for the benefit of their employer and not deprive their employer’s competitive advantage, divulge confidential information or otherwise cause harm.
4.2. Responsibility of Supervisors
We take reasonable efforts to ensure that anyone under our authority or supervision complies with applicable laws, rules, regulation and this Code.
4.3. Health and Safe Working Environment
We take reasonable efforts to provide a healthy and safe working environment.
4.4. Non-Discrimination
We do not discriminate because of gender, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, age or on any other arbitrary grounds.
4.5. Child and Forced-Labor, Overtime
We do not make use of child labour, forced or bonded labour, or demand illegal overtime.
4.6. Harassment
We do not accept any form of mental or physical punishment, including any kind of harassment or bullying.
We do not condone any form of sexual harassment and take precautions to prevent it taking place.
4.7. Freedom of Association
We do not prevent our employees from associating freely with an employee’s association or group of their choosing, or from engaging in collective negotiations.
5. Conflict of Interest
5.1. Efforts to Avoid Conflicts of Interest
Whenever possible, we avoid real or perceived conflicts of interest that could affect the independence and objectivity of our professional practice, or otherwise impact it.
5.2. Disclosure of Conflict of Interest
We disclose real or perceived conflicts of interest to affected stakeholders when they do exist or might be perceived to exist.
6. Duties to Partners, Competitors and Society
6.1. Benevolent Cooperation
We actively engage and benevolently cooperate with professional associations whose members we are.
6.2. Fair Competition
We believe in and promote the principle of unrestricted and fair competition.
We do not engage in anti-competitive activities.
6.3. Respect to the State and Society
We remain conscious of the possible consequences our professional practice may have for other interested parties and strive to minimize any negative impact.
6.4. Commitment to Respect and Protect the Environment
We think long-term regarding the environment we practice in and strive for sustainable development.
6.5. Commitment to Resource Efficiency
We use resources efficiently in professional practice and strive to avoid and minimize waste.
6.6. Commitment to Local Communities
We do not participate in undermining or harming local communities.
7. Relation to Other Codes of Conduct and Professional Standards
In the course of our professional activities, we may be bound by other ethical and professional conduct standards established by professional associations or institutions to which we belong or with which we may be affiliated, and therefore we are always committed to adhering to the strictest applicable standards of ethics and professional conduct.
